The Italian police seized weapons and uniforms of the so-called ''Polisia Veneta'' (Venetian Police) in the headquarters of the movement in Treviso. According to the police, the group had even planned an aggression to Luca Zaia, a leading member of Liga Veneta–Lega Nord.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=2011.05.24 – 3A Repubblica Veneta – Insediato Il Parlamento Veneto )〕 After one year, in December 2011, Italian Constitutional Court declared that a law abolishing the ban to create paramilitary forces (without weapons) fits with Italian Constitution, this made the VNLM to be no longer charged for the founding of its own paramilitary force. In January 2012 an event aimed at transforming the MLNV into an umbrella organization for all the main Venetist and independentist groups, parties and associations alike, active throughout Venetia was organized in Vicenza.
